Our Friend Friday With Altenew Continues

0824_collaborationWelcome back to our second Friend Friday with Altenew, a stamp and die company that are proud to create products that help inspire.  Our team have found inspiration in bucket loads with this wonderful project range that work perfectly with Chameleon pens.

Today our designers Tanya and Leah showcase their designs, first up is Tanya with this stunning page layout.

By Tanya Batrak

We asked Tanya what had inspired her, this is what she said “What can be more inspiring than beautiful blooms? Black background and colored flowers make perfect combination, if you are trying to make an eye-catching project.”

We agree the black background really makes the flowers pop on this project, if you would like to recreate Tanya’s Beautiful Day Layout using the Beautiful Day Stamp set you can download the instructions here.

Leah has continued the floral theme today with this pretty floral card.Altenew

By Leah Cornelius

We asked Leah what inspired her with this design, she said “Two of my favorite things are flowers and butterflies so my card uses both of those elements and using Chameleon pens really makes the beautiful line images come to life!”

You can recreate Leah’s Happy Day Floral Card using the Botanical Garden and Hennah Elements Stamp set here.

Tanya’s page took my breath away with it’s balanced layout, beautiful colors, and talented coloring using the great Chameleon pens. Leah’s layout is also unique and the stand out butterfly is adorable. Chameleon pens are the BOMB.

    DELIGHTFUL layout and card!!!
I am in awe of the shading achieved with these markers and how the colours can range from DELICATE to VIBRANT – WOW!!!

What a pretty page layout! Your flowers are striking on the black background! I love your card! The sequins add some shimmer, but your coloring is so pretty! Thanks for the inspiration and for the opportunity to win some Chameleon pens!

Beautiful! The pens do seem amazing. I haven’t had the best luck with the Spectrum Noir (many dried out very quickly – right out of the new package) and am hoping these will be better.

Love the projects today. You have teamed up with one of my favorite companies–Altenew. Love their stamps. I’m interested to learn more about Chameleon pens. I’ll be watching for the emails. Thanks for the info and giveaway.

Everything is beautifully coloured with these pens. I am an alcohol pen phobic but these look so good and from what I have read are so easy to use too and I think I’m going to break Santa’s budget this Christmas with my wish list Karen x

I really like the Beautiful Days layout. The black really does make the colours pop. This makes me think of a craft project I created for some anime/animation programs I put together where we painted “animation cels” (I photocopied line drawings on transparency sheets – colouring book pictures reduced to 25-40% work well – which we then painted on copied side with acrylic paints, liquitex by preference). After the paint dried, we would put the cels in front of various backgrounds (origami paper, different colours, color-blocked) and see how the “feel” of the piece changed with each one.

I love these pens. I’m generally a Copic user, but I love the ability to have multiple shades on just one pen! Thanks for sharing

Love the way you can use these pens. Great flowers and I am happy to have learned that you can use a gray ink and get a gorgeous background of a lighter flower. I think that was a great tip for me. Thanks for sharing
