Play Date Monday’s with Concord & 9th

Hello everyone,we have been jumping up and down here at Chameleon in anticipation of our playdates with our friends at Concord & 9th. As a company they aim is to inspire your creative side, and provide exciting, high-quality, and innovative products. Our design team have certainly enjoyed exploring their creative sides combining their stamps and dies with Chameleon Pens, Pencils and Color Tops!

Cathy has combined all three Chameleon coloring products and channeled her inner Agnes (from Despicable Me) to create this unicorn card and tag.

By Cathy Andronicou

For the outside of the card Cathy used Concord & 9th’s Unicorn Awesomeness stamp set, Sophisticated Script Stamp set and Double Cut Alphabet dies combined of Chameleon Color Tone pens with Chameleon Color Tops, to get the rainbow effect and smooth blends.

Inside she used the Unicorn die combined with the Chameleon Detail Pen to add the personalised quote from Despicable me and stamped the birthday message.

With the left over die cut Cathy then created a matching tag, this time coloring with Chameleon Pencils to show how easily they flip to blend from light to dark.

You can watch how all these elements were colored on this video, so grab a comfy chair sit back and enjoy.

Alternatively you can download the photo step out He’s So Fluffy Unicorn Card & Tag instructions for later here.

But wait there is more; Concord and 9th certainly inspired Cathy’s creativity, she just couldn’t stop with just this project so she created a couple of  bonus cards using the Hello Lovely stamp set and Hugs Die with Chameleon Pens & Color Tops.

Cathy used a no line coloring technique by stamping with Memento New Sprout ink and then using Chameleon pen RG4 with Colour Top YG3 for the leaves, PK 3 pen with BV2 color top for the big flower, BL4 pen and BV2 color top for the medium flower and BL4 pen and BL2 color top for the smallest flower.  The hugs was colored with BL4 pen and BL7 color top, then wink of stella and picco glaze added.

For her final card she colored the largest flower with Aladine Izink Dye inks; Bro de noix, Aurore & Cire and then for the remaining smaller flowers Chameleon Color Tone pens; Mellow Yellow & Tangerine with the Burgundy, Peony Pink and Tangerine Color Tops.

The leaves were colored with the Grass Green pen and Spring Meadow Color Top and the sentiment was created using Couture Creations Go Press & Foil Machine with Anna Griffin foils. The unicorn is so cute but I love flowers more and the hugs card is great! The wink of Stella and pico glaze adds the perfect touch! Am still taking baby steps but hopefully will improve soon, thanks for all the videos!

I’ve been playing with these pens a little. They will take a little practice but It will come. Love the unicorn card!
