Wedding Love Note

The big day is here and nerves are a plenty, even the groom has been known to have a wobble on such a big day, so what about creating a  little love note to slip your intended on the day…a little something to remind them how much you love them, or for a guest to share words of wisdom to the new couple!

Sandra has created this adorable note with a video tutorial showing just how easy it is to create.

By Jessica Sanders

Jessica said her inspiration came when she attended a beautiful wedding at a vineyard near her home in Texas.  It was beautiful, and elegant, and rustic, and amazing.  At the reception, there was a small table covered with blank cards, and a message that said,

“Leave a note for the Bride & Groom – share your love and wisdom.”

Jessica said “What an amazing opportunity for us, as friends and family, to share something special with the bride and groom!  And, just imagine, how wonderful it will be when the newly married couple read the thoughtful messages from their special day. I was so inspired, that I created this mini card project!  Now your guests can leave a special message for the bride and groom.  I have kept it super simple, so you can make as many as you need.”

We love this idea and if you would like to create your own Wedding theme Love Notes you can download the instructions here.

Make A Wedding Card to Wow!

The big day has finally arrived and everyone is dressing in their finest to attend the event of the year, but wait you need a card to give to the Bride and Groom…not any card but one created with love that they will treasure.  Olesya has done just that with this beauty!

By Olesya Kharkova

These bold colours are perfect for an autumn wedding, Olesya said “Our family friends have their wedding in autumn and it was my dream to make autumn themed wedding card with bright leaves but elegant and festive.”

If you would like to see how to recreate this Wedding congratulation card you can download the instructions here.

Now all that remains is to wrap the present!

Lets Make Wedding Favours!

So the invites are sent and the huge task of organizing the wedding is under way, lots to do and organize including the table wedding favors!  Why not invite all the bridesmaids, Mums, Grans, and Friends round for a making session, you can easily follow Sandra’s guide below to create these great favors for the table.

By Sandra Kustić Uzur

Sandra said “I love Weddings and for me this is the most romantic day in our lives. Soft colors and nice flowers makes this day even more unforgettable. For my Wedding Favor
I decided to make a small romantic box for the guests to remember this day. A couple of lovely birds and small flowers with soft peachy color are perfect to this occasion. To make it more personal I add a couples initials as for Kevin & Anastasia.”

Did you know that Wedding favors are small gifts given as a gesture of appreciation or gratitude to guests from the bride and groom during a wedding ceremony or a wedding reception. The tradition of distributing wedding favors is a very old one.  The Tradition is to give Five Sugar Almonds at Weddings. … Today, sugared almonds(or ‘confetti’ as they are known in Italy) are presented in lots of either three or five – three to signify the bride, groom and their future child; five representing fertility, longevity, happiness, health and wealth. You could write what they represent on the almonds using a food coloring pen for that extra special touch!

So now all you need is the Wedding favor instructions to get your army of helpers working on your big day, just download the instructions here.

Why not have a production line with one person doing each bit of the box to make it easier?  We would love you to share any wedding theme makes using your Chameleon Art Products, why not upload them to our Facebook Page?

Lets celebrate all things wedding with an Invite!

If you have not had time to watch the last two Facebook live events you may have missed that we are focusing on summer weddings, so far we have shown you innovative ideas for table decorations and how to create your own paper flowers for a wedding bouquet!  But we are getting ahead of ourselves…..we forgot to send out the invites!     By Ilina Crouse

Ilina has created this elegant foiled design that will catch the eye of every guest! She said “Whenever I think wedding in my mind light and pastel colors pop-up and additions of gold or silver. I love the look of gold foiling and it seemed perfect for a wedding invitation paired with turquoise and apple green.”

Ilina has combined two Chameleon Pencils with two Chameleon Pens to get this professional finish, to see how she created this Foiled Wedding Invitation you can download the instructions here.

So now the invites have gone out we can crack on with organizing the rest of the wedding…check back all this month for more wedding inspiration on the blog!

More National Coloring Book Day inspiration

You may recall that it was National Coloring Book day on Wednesday so we thought we would share some more inspiration today from Tanya showing how you can turn that much loved coloring page into a scrapbook page.

By Tanya Batrak

Tanya said the inspiration for this coloring book page came from the world around us, she said it is my biggest source of inspiration. And with the help of Chameleon pens it’s so easy to add natural colors to any project!

Tanya used the Secret Garden coloring book by Johanna Basford to create the background for her page.

To see how Tanya created her Moment Captured Layout you can download her step by step instructions here.

I am not sure if anyone in the office would share Tanya’s view that a stag beetle was a beautiful moment captured…but the coloring sure was beautiful!

Welcome to National Coloring Book Day

Did you know today is National Coloring Book day…what a perfect excuse to get those pens and pencils out and absorb yourself into a new coloring book project!

We asked Olesya one of our designers to color a project for today and then create a project from the colored page and boy did she wow us with the results!

By Olesya Kharkova

Olesya opted to color one of the DCWV coloring pads and this is what she said drew her inspiration” I love coloring books as each of the pages gives a myriad of opportunities to create something interesting, unique, only your imagination is the limit. I found very summery pages with dots and pineapples to make my card in Color & Create coloring pad by DCWV.”

If you want to see how Olesya turned her coloring page into the  Sweeter than Pineapple card you can download the instructions here.

Did you know we also love to see your coloring projects, if you create any using your Chameleon Pens, Pencils or Color Tops to celebrate National Coloring Book day why not share them with us on Facebook!

Now once Olesya starts to color we can’t stop her so hop on over to her blog by clicking The image below!

Next up we have the lovely Tracy with this colorful layout.

By Tracy McLennon

Tracy said “These Cas-ual Friday Stamps and Dies were my inspiration for this layout. They were just begging for bright and beautiful colour.,

Whenever I start a colouring project this is what I do. I stamp lots of the same image and play with colour a bit. I find it takes the stress out of colouring. Not every image will be perfect, and not every colour combo will be what you want either. Plus you can take your stamped images and colour while watching your favourite TV show. These Cas-ual Friday, Mon Ami images were just so perfect for colouring with Chameleon Pens.”

You can see how Tracy created this Colorful Layout here.

Tracy said she likes to stamp lots of images and play with colour a bit. It takes the stress out of colouring. Not every image will be perfect, and not every colour combo will be what you want either. Plus you can take your stamped images and colour while watching your favourite TV show.

Welcome back to another Friend Friday with Casual Friday stamps, today we are joined by Olesya and Sandra with some wonderful floral inspiration. First up is Olesya with this sparkly card.

By Olesya Kharkova

Olesya said the inspiration for this project was “the simple design of the flowers by CAS-ual Fridays allows  me to create interesting combinations and clusters, color them any way you like and play with dimension. And any time they will look unique. Having all that in mind I’ve decided to make a card using my Chameleon pens to emphasize the design with richness of color and glitter. ”

Sandra has created this cool card with the most colorful sentiment.
