Lastly color Sky Blue around the image and blend it using colorless blender.

Chameleon Pens and Vellum

Did you know that Chameleon Pens are perfect for parchment and vellum, the ink dries quickly and will not crinkle the paper unlike other coloring mediums. Parchment and Vellum also have the added advantage of giving longer blends as you are coloring on a slick surface.

Annette shows us how easy it is to use with this Birthday card.

Vellum Birthday 1.2

Supplies:- Chameleon Pens: Fawn (NU3), Bisque (NU1), Spring Meadow (YG3), Bark (BR4), Hot Cocoa (BR2), Crimson Red (RD4), Warm Sunset (YO3) and Sky Blue (BL3).  Vellum, The Paper Nest Birthday Balloon Ellie, Mama Elephant Woodland Gifts, Laser Printer, Tim Holtz Burlap stencil, Tsukineko Radiant Neon and Memento tuxedo black ink pad, Neenah textured card-stock and Glue Dots.

1. Print digital image on vellum using digital printer.

2. Color digital image. When coloring you will see that you do not need to infuse the color because it transfers on the vellum light. For shading just layer the colors.

3. Trim colored image.

4. Make card blank from card stock. Using stencil and ink pad create a colorful background.

5. Adhere the colored and trimmed image to card using glue dots. Finish the card by stamping the sentiment.

Vellum Birthday 1.3

Annette chose not to infuse the image but if you use the darker tones you can achieve some amazing blended effects, why not give it a try!

One Pen Blends with Monica

Hi everyone! This month we were asked to create something using only one pen. I thought to myself hmm… only one pen okay this is going to be challenging. Well, it was not! I used my Cool Gray: CG8 pen to create this card.

IMG_2214by Monica Edwards

Materials used: Chameleon Color Tones Pens Cool Grey (CG8),Prima stamped image, Spellbinders dies and pink and white cardstock.

Using one pen with Chameleons is a breeze due to your ability to infuse, this allows you to get the different color variations.

Just pop the mixing chamber on the nib of the pen and infuse with toning medium for between 5 and 40 seconds – the longer you leave the chamber on the nib the longer the blend will be.

I hope everyone enjoyed my one pen project.

We certainly enjoyed Monic’s one pen project, what would you color if you only had one Chameleon Pen?
